Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Professor

• Education: Ph.D. in concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Publications: Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Research Score: Total research score of 120 as per Appendix II (Table 2 of GBU Academic Ordinance).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or research experience at equivalent level with evidence of successfully guided doctoral candidates.
• Alternative: An outstanding professional with Ph.D. and significant contribution to the field.

Associate Professor

• Education: Good academic record with Ph.D. in concerned/allied/relevant discipline; Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Publications: Minimum 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• Research Score: Total research score of 75 as per Appendix II Table 2.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution.

Assistant Professor

• Education: Master's degree with 55% marks in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent foreign degree (5% relaxation for reserved categories as per Clause 3.4).
• Eligibility Test: Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET OR hold a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
• Foreign Ph.D.: Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in top 500 in QS, THE, or ARWU rankings is accepted.
• Experience: Not explicitly mandated as a compulsory requirement, subject to UGC/GBU eligibility standards.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

1. Screening: Applications will be screened by a committee. If the number of eligible candidates is large (typically exceeding 30-50 per post), the University may conduct a written screening test or restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on academic score/research score.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview/presentation.
3. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of interview.
4. No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be paid for attending the interview.
5. Final Selection: Based on interview performance, academic record, research credentials, and experience weightage as per GBU/UGC guidelines.
