Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the research project entitled "Developtnent ofa fish feed product prototype using prebiotics and vitanüns supplement from non-pathogenic, gut-friendly halophilic archaea" funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB). Department of Science & Technology (DS T), Government of India under the Start-up Research Grant (SRG) scheme. 1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow 2. No of Post: 01 3. Department: Department of Microbiology, Goa University 4. Essential Qualifications : First class M.Sc. degree in Microbiology / Marine Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Zoology and must have qualified the National Eligibility Tests such as the CSIR-UGC NET Including lectureship or GATE in Life Sciences or any equivalent National level examinations such as DST, DB T, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, etc in Biological or Life Sciences 5. Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of culturing and characterizing the halophilic microorganisms 6. Fellowship Rs. 3 1.000/- plus 8% HRA per month 7. Duration of Project : Two Years

Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
How to Apply:
1. Interested and eligible candidates may appear for the WALK-IN interview on 22nd March, 2022 (Tuesday) at 10:00am at the Department of Microbiology, Goa University.
2. The candidates should write an application on plain paper addressed to Dr. Bhakti B. Salgaonkar (Principal Investigator), Department of Microbiology, Goa University, Taleigao Plateau, Goa 403206
3. The candidates should submit, the self attested photocopies of the relevant certificates along with the application.
4. The candidates should carry their original certificates for cross veri fication. No T.A./D.A. would be applicable to attend the Interview.
5. The interview would be conducted following the SOP of COVID pandemic.
