Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Assistant Professor (All Posts)
- Essential: A basic university qualification included in the Schedules to Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with registration in State/Indian Medical Register (for medical posts); specific PG degrees (MD/MS/DM/MCh/PhD/MSc as detailed department-wise in notification).
- Experience: Three years teaching experience in the concerned specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/Registrar/Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution (variations for super-specialties and non-medical posts).
Salary & Age Limit
- Salary: Rs. 67,700 + NPA (where applicable) + Dearness Allowance (on contract basis).
- Age Limit (as on 20 January 2026): UR: 40 years, OBC: 43 years, SC: 45 years. Relaxation applicable only for reserved category posts.
