GMCH Chandigarh Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification
For all posts: A Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB/MCh/DM or equivalent) in the concerned specialty, recognized by MCI. Candidates must be registered with MCI or State Medical Council. Those who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency are not eligible for Senior Resident posts.
Age Limit
Upper age limit as on 1 July 2026: 45 years. Age relaxation: 10 years for widows, deserted women, and women judicially separated (not remarried).
Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive pay in Level-11 (₹67,700 minimum) plus Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) at 20% as per 7th CPC.
Application Fee
Non-refundable fee of ₹500/- to be deposited on the spot at GMCH. Fee is same for multiple posts.
Selection Process
Selection is through walk-in interview only. No written exam. Candidates selected must apply afresh for regular posts.
