Fresh expression of interest are invited from willing persons to be engaged as Ombudsman in Bhadrak District for redressal of grievances and disposal complaints relating to implementation of the MGNREGA for a tenure of two years extendable not more than twice by one year each based on performance or till attaining the age of 68 years whichever is earlier. 1. Position: Ombudsman 2. Remuneration: The Ombudsman shall be allowed to get compensation or Rs.2,250/- (Rupees two thousand two hundred fifty) only per Sing with maximum upper limit of Rs. 45,000/- (Rupees l0ry five thousand) only per month. 3. Eligibility Criteria: The persons fulfilling the following criteria may apply for selection of district Ombudsman under MGNREGS for Bhadrak District. a) A person of eminent standing and impeccable integrity with at least 10 years of experience in Public Administration, Law, Academics, Social Work or Management as per documents furnished along with application. Experience in working with people or community organization shall be a mandatory qualification. b) No person who is a member of a recognised political party or a banned organisation shall be considered for appointment as Ombudsman. He/she should file a declaration to this effect along with the application. c) The persons interested for the post of Ombudsman must be physically active and capable of conducting field tours, inspections and visits to remote rural locations in the district. d) Preference will be given to a person who is a resident of Bhadrak District or neighbouring district of Bhadrak so as to take advantage of his/her firsthand knowledge about the district. 4. Appointment: The Ombudsman in the district will be appointed by the State Govt. on the recommendation of the selection Committee. 5. Removal: On unsatisfactory performance, the Ombudsman may removed by the State Government on the recommendation of th Selection Committe. 6. Jurisdiction & Location: The State Government shall specify the territorial jurisdiction of the Ombudsman in terms of a District & the Office of the MGNREGS. Ombudsman shall be located at District Headquarters.

1. The interested persons fulfilling above criteria may submit their written expression of interest in the prescribed proforma along with copy of the required document to the Collector-cum- DPC, MGNREGS, District Rural Development Agency, Bhadrak by 06/05/2022 at 1 PM through speed post/ registered post. The applications received after due date will not be considered.
2. The Committee reserves right to accept or reject any application for expression of interest without assigning any reason thereof. The advertisement is also available in the Bhadrak District website i.e. www.bhadrak.nic.in.
