Sub: Publication of Advertisement for Engagement of Retired District Judges/ Addl. District Judges/ Public Prosecutors/ Addl. Public Prosecutors for engagement on re-employment basis as Legal Advisors in 27 Police Districts of Odisha.
a. Applications are invited from the Retired Districts Judges/ Addl. Districts Judges/ Public Prosecutors/ Addl. Public Prosecutors for engagement on reemployment basis as Legal Advisors, one in each of the 25 Police Districts i.e Kendrapada, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj,
b. Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Baragarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Sonepur, Angul, Rourkela, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Berhampur in the existing vacancies. Besides applications are invited from Retired Districts Judges/ Addl. Districts Judges/ Public Prosecutors/
c. Addl. Public Prosecutors for engagement on re-employment basis as Legal Advisors, one in each of 02 Police Districts i.e Malkangirit Sambalpur in the anticipated vacancies of the year, 2022 to render legal advice to the Investigating officers during investigation of cases involving sensational/ heinous crimes with the following stipulations.
1. Position: Legal Advisor
2. No of Posts: 27
3. Eligibility:
a. Should be able to read, write and speak in Odia language.
b. The engagements shall be made in a transparent manner for one year initially.
c. The performance of Legal Advisor is to be reviewed periodically and documented, at least once in a quarter.
d. Continuance of the system of Legal Advisors after the ISt year would be considered after assessment of the impact of the new system in improving the quality of investigation.
e. After initial engagement of one year, the same should be renewed basing on satisfactory performance.
f. Their monthly remuneration is to be fixed on case to case basis as per Finance Department Office Memorandum No. 7022/F dt. 17.03.2018.

The selection will be governed by the procedure and rules laid down vide Govt. of Odisha, C.A Department Resolution No.23750/Gen. dt.27.08.2014 and Home Department Letter No. 22228/D&A dt. 25.06.2016.
