The Union Territory of Puducherry Child Protection Society (UTPCPS) a unit of Department of Women and Child Development, Puducherry is inviting application from eligible person for Re- Constitution of Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) & Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) in Mahe & Yanam regions of U.T. of Puducherry as per Section 27 & 4 of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Rules 16 & 4 of Puducherry Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2017 for exercising powers and discharging the functions of the Committees / Boards in relation to Children in Need of Care and Protection (CNCP) & Children in Conflict with law (CCL). 1. Position: Chairperson of CWC 2. No of Post: 02 3. Qualification & Experience: A degree in child psychology or psychiatry or social work or sociology or human development or in the field of law or a retired judicial officer. Shall have at least 7 years experience in working with children in the field of education, health, or welfare activities. 4. The Chairperson and Members of the CWC and Members of JJB appointed shall be paid at Rs.1,500/- (Including Travel allowance) per sitting as prescribed by Government. No other pay or allowances are admissible 1. Position: Members of CWC 2. No of Post: 08 3. Qualification & Experience: A degree in child psychology or psychiatry or social work or sociology or human development or in the field of law or a retired judicial officer. Shall have at least 7 years experience in working with children in the field of education, health, or welfare activities. 4. The Chairperson and Members of the CWC and Members of JJB appointed shall be paid at Rs.1,500/- (Including Travel allowance) per sitting as prescribed by Government. No other pay or allowances are admissible 1. Position: Members of JJB 2. No of Post: 04 3. Qualification & Experience: A degree in child psychology or psychiatry or social work or sociology or human development or in the field of law or a retired judicial officer. Shall have at least 7 years experience in working with children in the field of education, health, or welfare activities. 4. The Chairperson and Members of the CWC and Members of JJB appointed shall be paid at Rs.1,500/- (Including Travel allowance) per sitting as prescribed by Government.
