Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Recruitment 2026
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for temporary positions at the Integrated Counseling and Testing Centres (ICTC) operating within Government Primary Health Centres in the Coimbatore district. This is a contract-based appointment strictly for a period of 11 months.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Counselor (ICTC)
- Essential Qualification: Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, or Human Development. OR Nursing Diploma with 3 years of HIV/AIDS experience.
- Experience: Candidates from the HIV-affected community with a degree/diploma and 1 year of experience are also considered.
Eligibility for Lab Technician (ICTC)
- Essential Qualification: 12th Standard pass; Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a Government-approved institution.
- Experience: Those with a Certificate Course and over 5 years of ICTC experience may also be considered.
Salary & Tenure
The positions are purely temporary and on a contract basis for 11 months. No permanent regularization will be provided at any point. Monthly salary is Rs. 18,000/- for Counselors and Rs. 13,000/- for Lab Technicians.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on the scrutiny of applications and possibly an interview. The decision of the District Health Society and District Collector, Coimbatore, will be final.
