The Office of the Collector and District Magistrate, Jangaon, acting through the District Child Protection Society (DCPS), has issued a notification dated 08 October 2026 to fill 8 fresh vacancies on an outsourcing basis under Mission Vatsalya for Child Helpline 1098, Jangaon. Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification
Project Coordinator (1 Post)
- Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Human Rights, Public Administration, Psychology, Psychiatry, Law, Public Health, or Community Resource Management from a recognised University. A higher qualification in the same subject is accepted in place of the prescribed degree.
- Experience: Candidates with only a graduate degree in the prescribed subjects must have 2 years of experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and supervision — preferably in Women and Child Development or Social Welfare. Computer proficiency is required.
Counsellor (1 Post)
- Qualification: Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, or Counselling from a recognised University, or a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Communication.
- Experience: At least 1 year of work with a Government or non-Government organisation, preferably in Women and Child Development. Computer proficiency is required.
Child Helpline Supervisor (3 Posts)
- Qualification: Degree, preferably B.A., in Social Work, Computer Science, Information Technology, Community Sociology, or Social Sciences from a recognised University.
- Experience: Weightage is given for prior experience. Computer proficiency is required.
Case Worker (3 Posts)
- Qualification: Pass in Class XII from a recognised Board or its equivalent.
- Experience: Good communication skills; weightage is given for experience. Computer proficiency is required.
The qualification and experience must be held on the date of the notification. For every post, preference is given to persons who have worked in an emergency helpline.
Selection Process and Screening Clause
Selection is by a written examination followed by an oral test, both conducted on the same day — 15 October 2026.
- Written Examination (Sl. No. 1 to 3): 200 objective-type questions for 90 minutes in English. Part A (100 questions) is common and Part B (100 questions) covers the work of the specific post applied for.
- Written Examination (Sl. No. 4 – Case Worker): 100 objective-type questions for 60 minutes in English and Telugu.
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark with five options. A deduction of one-fourth mark is made for every wrong answer.
- Experience Weightage: For Child Helpline Supervisor and Case Worker, two additional marks per completed year of paid work in child protection or an emergency helpline, up to a maximum of ten marks.
- Oral Test: 25 marks — each candidate answers five questions drawn from a question bank, marked out of five by the Selection Committee.
- Result and Selection List: The answer key is displayed at 12:00 noon on the exam day; objections are accepted until 12:45 PM. The result and oral test list is published at 2:00 PM; the oral test begins at 2:30 PM; the selection list is announced the same evening. Engagement orders are issued on 16 October 2026 subject to receipt of the Police verification report.
No travelling allowance or daily allowance (TA/DA) will be paid for attending the examination or oral test.
