Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Dietician, Class-3

• Essential Qualification: Master of Science in Home Science/Food and Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Science & Nutrition/Food Service Management and Dietetics/Clinical Nutrition. The degree must be obtained from a University established or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act in India, or an institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
• Computer Knowledge: Must possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Language: Must possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certificate of Diploma/Degree/Certificate course in computer knowledge from a government recognized university or institution.
  • Computer as a subject in Degree/Diploma curriculum.
  • Certificate of passing Standard 10 or Standard 12 examination with computer subject.
• Experience: Refer to official notification.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years

Note: Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for reserved categories, women, PwD, and ex-servicemen (max age limit up to 45 years for PwD).

Application Fee

• Unreserved (General): Rs. 500/-
• Reserved Categories (Women, SEBC, SC, ST, EWS, PH, Ex-Serviceman): Rs. 400/-

Fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or Wallets. Fee payment deadline is 29/01/2026.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Competitive Examination (MCQ type) conducted via CBRT/OMR mode. The exam consists of two parts:

• Part-A (90 Marks): Logical Test, Data Interpretation, Mathematical Test, Constitution, Current Affairs, English and Gujarati Comprehension.
• Part-B (120 Marks): Questions related to the concerned subject (Dietician/Nutrition).
• Total Questions: 210
• Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes)
• Negative Marking: 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
• Qualifying Marks: Minimum 40% marks required separately in Part-A and Part-B.
