Eligibility Criteria for Occupational Therapist

Essential Qualification

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy from a University established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India.
• Or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act 1956.
• Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.

Citizenship

• Candidate must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per Rule-7 of Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Age Limit (as on 13/02/2026)

• Minimum: 18 years.
• Maximum: 35 years.
• Age Relaxation: General Women (5 years), Reserved Category Men (5 years), Reserved Category Women (10 years), General Disabled Men (10 years), General Disabled Women (15 years), Reserved Disabled Men (15 years), Reserved Disabled Women (20 years), Ex-Servicemen (Service period + 3 years).

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a One Stage Competitive Written Examination conducted through MCQ (CBRT/OMR mode).

• Exam Pattern: One question paper divided into Part-A and Part-B.
• Part-A (90 Marks): Logical Reasoning, Mathematical Aptitude, Indian Constitution, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension.
• Part-B (120 Marks): Questions related to the subject (Occupational Therapy) and its applications.
• Total Questions: 210 (Part-A: 90, Part-B: 120).
• Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
• Negative Marking: 1/4 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
• Qualifying Marks: 40% in Part-A and 40% in Part-B separately.

4. Fill in Personal Details, Educational Details, and accept terms.
5. Note down the generated Application Number.
6. Upload Photograph (5cm x 3.6cm) and Signature (2.5cm x 7.5cm) in JPG format (Max 15 KB).
7. Verify and Confirm Application to generate the Confirmation Number.
8. Pay the examination fee online (Debit Card/Internet Banking/UPI/Wallets) by 16/02/2026.
9. Download and print the application form and fee receipt.
