Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a Law Graduate (as of the date of appearing at the interview) having a Bachelor's degree in Law (including an Integrated Degree Course in Law) from any school/College/University/Institute established by Law in India and recognized by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as an Advocate, possessing a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate at Law Graduation (including Integrated Degree Course in Law) and should not have completed two years after enrollment as an Advocate.

Selection Procedure

The High Court of Judicature for the Jammu and Kashmir state was established on 26th March 1982, and for the first time the High Court consisted of Chief Justice and two Judges.
In 1954 vide constitution Application Order of the Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court was extended to the state of J & K. The High Court has at present a sanctioned of 14 Judges including 9 Permanent Judges and 5 Additional Judges. The Chief Justice and the Administrative wing of High Court shifts to Srinagar.
Lok Adalats were setup to secure the operation of the legal system and promote justice on the basis of equal opportunity.
