This Letters Patent continued in force even after the adoption of the constitution of India on 26 January 1950 by virtue of Articles 225 & 372 thereof. The court has a sanctioned judge strength of 53.
High Court of Madhya Pradesh was established in the year 1956. It is the High Court of Madhya Pradesh state. The High Court is authorized by the constitution of India. The term length of Judge is till 62 years of age.
