Stenographer Grade-II
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
- CPCT Score Card exam passed from MAP-IT (M.P. Agency for Promotion of Information Technology) or any other Agency/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.
- Hindi Shorthand exam passed with speed of 100 W.P.M. from a Board/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.
- 1-Year Diploma course in Computer Application from an Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.
Stenographer Grade-III & Stenographer Grade-III (Court Manager Staff)
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
- CPCT Score Card exam passed from MAP-IT or any other Agency/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.
- Hindi Shorthand exam passed with speed of 80 W.P.M. from a Board/Institution recognized by the M.P. Government.

Selection Process & Screening Clause
The recruitment involves two stages:
Stage 1 – Online Preliminary Examination (Screening Only, 100 Marks)
A common online MCQ-based preliminary exam of 120 minutes duration, carrying 100 marks (1 mark per question):

Important: The Preliminary Exam is solely for screening. Its marks will not be considered in the final merit. Candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 per category for the Skill Test (candidates with the same cut-off marks are also included).

Candidate Advisory: A note-book will be provided for dictation; writing in long hand will result in full marks deduction. A mock dictation will precede the actual dictation. Candidates creating disturbance during dictation or transcription will be expelled. No TA/DA is payable for the examination or skill test.
