Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  • Essential Qualification: First Class M. Tech. with specialization in Food Processing Technology OR M.Sc. Botany with specialization in Mycology + NET qualified.
  • Experience: 02 years in the field of Food Processing/food product development. (Note: If suitable candidate with required experience is not available for SRF, the vacancy will be filled with JRF).
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having experience/knowledge in Bioinformatics and Molecular Characterization of fungi.

Eligibility for Project Associate-1 (under Project 1)

  • Essential Qualification: M. Sc. in Forestry/Botany/Environmental Science/Agriculture with two years research experience.
  • Desirable: Preference will be given to the candidate having experience of working in conventional propagation and nursery technique.

Eligibility for Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

  • Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc (Forestry). Preference: Specialization in Tree improvement.
  • Responsibilities: Conduct extensive field survey work across Himachal Pradesh and to collect, record and analyse field data.

Eligibility for Project Associate-1 (PA)

  • Essential Qualification: B.Sc (Forestry/Botany)
  • Responsibilities: Conduct extensive field survey work across Himachal Pradesh and to collect, record and analyse field data.

Important Instructions & Age Limit

  • Application Mode: Candidates must deposit applications on prescribed form via Registered/Ordinary Post or By Hand only. Online/Email applications will not be entertained.
  • Last Date: 21st August, 2025.
  • Interview Date: 25th August, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM at the Institute.
  • Age Limit (as on 25/08/2025): JPF/JRF (28 years), SRF (32 years), Project Assistant (30 Years), Project Associate-1 (35 Years).
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women candidates as per rules.
  • Other Requirements: Proficiency in Computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PPT) is beneficial. Candidates must be medically fit to work in HP, J&K, and Ladakh.
