Educational Qualification & Experience

Age Limit & Relaxation

• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.
• Age as on: 01.01.2026.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India Directives for SC/ST/OBC categories.
• Ex-Servicemen: Given preference; relaxation as per rules.
• Ex-Apprentices/Contract Employees in HMT: Age relaxation up to the extent of the apprenticeship/contract period.

3. Selection Process

Selection will be done through a merit-based process involving the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Checking eligibility and conformity with job requirements.
2. Shortlisting: Based on qualifications, experience, and academic record.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview or Video Conference (VC).
4. Verification: Character & Antecedents verification and Caste verification.
5. Medical Examination: Pre-employment medical exam at HMT Hospital.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid To and Fro II class train fare (shortest route) on production of proof.

4. Salary and Contract Terms

Pay Scale & Benefits

• Pay Scale: PS III – Rs. 8,600-250-14,600 (1997 Pay Scale) with IDA and other allowances.
• Placement: Selected candidates will be placed at the minimum of the pay-scale.
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Provident Fund (PF).
• Incentives: Monthly and annual incentives eligible during the fixed term.
• Leave: 10 days casual leave + 2.5 days earned leave per year (pro-rata).

Contract Duration (Fixed Term Appointment)

• Initial Period: 2 years.
• Extension: Extendable up to 2 more years (Total max 4 years) based on performance.
• Termination: Either party can terminate with 3 months' notice or salary in lieu thereof.
• Permanency: FTA does not confer any right to claim permanent/regular employment.
