Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • SRF (Post 1): Postgraduate degree in basic science or Graduate/Postgraduate in professional course selected through CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/GPAT or National-level exams (DST, DBT, ICAR, etc.). Must have 2 years of research experience as JRF.
  • RA-I (Post 2A): Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences/Engineering. Must have at least one first-author SCI publication. Candidates with submitted thesis can apply (paid SRF salary until defense).
  • RA-I (Post 2B): Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology. Must have at least one first-author SCI publication.
  • RA-I (Post 3): Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology with at least two peer-reviewed SCI publications. Experience in molecular biology, NGS data analysis, and genome editing required.
  • JRF (Post 4): Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences/Genetics/Plant Breeding/Life Sciences selected through CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE or National-level exams (DST, DBT, ICAR, etc.).

Age Limit

  • SRF: Upper age limit 32 years.
  • RA-I (Post 2A): 40 years.
  • RA-I (Post 2B): 35 years.
  • RA-I (Post 3): 40 years.
  • JRF: 28 years.

Age Relaxation: Relaxation up to 5 years is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates as per GOI instructions. (Age is calculated as per the specific DST OM dated 26.06.2023 where applicable).

Selection Process

The selection for these temporary positions will be based on a Walk-in Interview.

National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is the first Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, established in India on 18th February 2010. The institute aims at catalyzing the transformation of Agri-food sector in India.
