HPPTCL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

1. Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 to 30 years of age as on the last date of application submission (10 July 2026). Age relaxation rules apply as per HPPTCL norms for reserved categories.

2. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualifications from a recognized university/institution as applicable to the post:

• Engineer Posts: B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline (Electrical/Civil).
• JE Posts: 3-year full-time Diploma OR Degree in relevant discipline.
• IT Posts: B.E./B.Tech (CS/CE), MCA, or B.E./B.Tech + 1-year PG Diploma in CS.
• Finance Posts: B.Com, ICWA, or CA.
• HR Posts: BBA or Graduate with MBA (HR/Personnel).
• Environment Posts: B.E./B.Tech in Environment Engg./Science, or M.Sc. Environment Science.
• Social Posts: M.A. in Sociology/Social Works.

Critical Note: The degree/diploma should not be more than 5 years old from the date of passing to the date of joining. Result-awaited candidates are not eligible.

3. Essential Requirement

Only Bonafide Himachali Female Candidates are eligible to apply.

HPPTCL Selection Process 2026

There will be no written exam or interview for this recruitment. The selection will be based purely on a merit list prepared from marks obtained in Matric, +2, Diploma, and Degree examinations.

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates (Education, Bonafide, Age Proof) for verification.
3. Final Selection: Upon successful verification, candidates will be selected and registered under the BOAT/NATS portal.
