Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification
Feeder Category Requirement
Only candidates currently serving as Junior Scale Stenographers, Steno-Typists, or Judgment Writers in the following are eligible:
- Hon'ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh
- District Judiciary within the State of Himachal Pradesh
- Government / Semi-Government establishments
The candidate must have five (05) years of regular service, or regular service combined with continuous ad hoc service, in the feeder category.
Educational and Technical Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a University recognized by the Government of Himachal Pradesh
- English Shorthand Speed: 100 words per minute (W.P.M.)
- English Typing Speed: 40 words per minute (W.P.M.)
- Adequate knowledge of word processing on computer
Selection Process and Screening
Applications will be screened by HPSCDRC against the prescribed eligibility norms, including verification of the feeder category service record (5 years minimum) and shorthand/typing speed credentials. Shortlisted candidates may be called for a skill/stenography test and/or interview as determined by the Commission. Final selection is subject to satisfactory completion of document verification and clearance by the appointing authority.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any test or interview conducted by the Commission.
