Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Anganwadi Helpers and Workers
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess 12th, 10th, or 8th from a recognized university/board. Specifically, the minimum educational qualification for Anganwadi Helper shall be Matriculation (10th). In case no matriculate candidate is available in the Panch Ward, candidates with qualification not less than 8th standard shall be considered.
- Residency: The candidate should be a domicile of the UT of J&K and a resident of the Electoral Ward where AWC is located. Name in the voter list for the ward shall be considered as proof of residence.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years (37 years based on initial summary)
- Age Relaxation: As per government norms (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen)
