Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Assistant Professor Grade II (On contract) – Pay Level 10: Ph.D. in relevant discipline; No experience required.
- Assistant Professor Grade II (On contract) – Pay Level 11: Ph.D. in relevant discipline; 01 year relevant experience.
- Assistant Professor Grade I – Pay Level 12: Ph.D. in relevant discipline; 03 years after Ph.D. or 06 years total after M.Tech.
- Associate Professor – Pay Level 13A2: Ph.D. in relevant discipline; 06 years after Ph.D. or 09 years total, including 03 years at Assistant Professor level with AGP Rs 8,000 or equivalent.
- General Conditions: First Class in Bachelor's degree onwards (or 6.5 CGPA / 60% aggregate). Ph.D. from UGC/AICTE/AIU/GOI recognized institute. For Engineering: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent. For Mathematics: First Class at UG and PG with Ph.D.
- Age Limit: Fresh appointment beyond 60 years is discouraged except for exceptionally brilliant research faculty with ongoing/approved externally funded project. Crucial date: 21 November 2026.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Screening and shortlisting based on qualifications, research output, SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications, patents, sponsored projects, and institute ranking criteria.
- Shortlisted candidates may appear for written test, teaching demonstration, or presentation. No change of date will be entertained.
- Personal Interview before duly constituted Selection Committee. No travel allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the test or interview.
- Final recommendations subject to approval by the Board of Governors (BoG) of IIIT Sonepat.
