Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
The Institute is looking for dedicated, committed and research oriented Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacancies through Direct Recruitment (Four Tier Flexible System) in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Department of Information Technology (IT).
1. Post Name: Associate Professor (CSE &IT)

4. Essential Qualifications: PhD in relevant discipline (CSE or IT) with First Class at B. Tech/BE or M. Tech/ME Leve
5. Desirable Requirements: 01 or more patents; Supervising two or more students for Ph.D.; Strong liaison with industry. Offering courses through application of ICT.
6. Essential Experience: 6 years after Ph.D. experience OR 9 years of total experience (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) out of which 3 years should be after Ph.D. Three (3) years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000 or equivalent in a reputed University, R&D Lab or relevant Industry.
7. Essential Cumulative Credit Points: 04 papers in SCI journals after Ph.D. One Ph.D. guided as sole or principal supervisor plus one continuing. Two projects ongoing or one ongoing plus one completed. Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate. Academic outreach activity equivalent to two self-financed short-term courses.

Selection Procedure
1 The Institute reserves the right to set higher norms/qualifications than minimum and areas of specialization while short listing taking into account the specific requirements of the individual department and restrict the number of candidates called for Demo/Interview to a practical limit.
2. Short-listing norms may not be uniform across the departments of the Institute and shall be binding on the applicants. The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitment shall be final and binding on the applicants. Fulfillment of qualifications per-se does not entitle a candidate to be called for selection process.
3. The list of short-listed candidates shall be displayed on the Institute website. Candidates are advised to visit the IIIT Sonepat website www.iiitsonepat.ac.in regularly. No correspondence regarding reasons for not short listing the candidate shall be entertained. The decision of the Screening Committee shall be final in all respect.

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonepat (IIIT, Sonepat) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology located at Sonepat, Haryana. The academic session of IIIT Sonepat started from its mentor Institute National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra in the year 2014. IIIT Sonepat is a joint venture of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the Govt. of Haryana, with Industries in Public-Private Partnership model and has been declared as the Institute of national importance.
On 18 March 2013, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India introduced a bill in the Parliament to establish 20 new Indian Institute of Information Technology in different parts of the Country. As per the bill, MHRD will establish the 20 new IIITs under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode partnering with respective state governments and industry partners. The new IIITs are envisaged to be Institutes of National Importance. Aimed at generating highly competent manpower of global standards for the Information Technology Industry, the institutes are also expected to act as a major catalyst to develop new knowledge in the field of Information Technology. Indian Institute of Information Technology-Sonepat, Haryana is amongst 20 new IIITs approved by MHRD and started to intake students in 2014.
