Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Professor (Level 14A)

• Essential Qualification: PhD in relevant discipline. 10 years of post-PhD professional experience.
• Experience: At least 4 years of experience at Associate Professor level (Pay level-13A2) or at least 7 years of experience at Associate Professor level (Pay level-13A1) in an institution of repute.
• Publications: Good quality publications with at least 15 papers in Q1 journals, out of which at least 5 at the Associate Professor level. At least 2 PhD guidance completion. At least 2 externally sponsored projects completed and one or two ongoing.
• Additional Desirable: 3 or more ongoing PhD students. 1 or more patents. Strong liaison with industry.

Eligibility for Associate Professor (Level 13A2)

• Essential Qualification: PhD in relevant discipline. 6 years of post-PhD professional experience.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience at the level of Assistant Professor level (Pay level-12) or equivalent in an institution of repute.
• Publications: Good quality publications with at least 10 papers in Q1 journals, out of which at least 4 at the Assistant Professor level (Pay level-12). One or two externally sponsored projects.
• Additional Desirable: Preferably 1 PhD guidance completion. 2 or more ongoing PhD students. 1 or more patents.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Level 10, 11, 12)

• Essential Qualification: PhD in relevant discipline. First class in both UG and PG degrees.
• Level 10: No post-PhD experience required. Good quality publications with at least 2 papers in Q1 Journals.
• Level 11: 1 year of post-PhD professional experience. Good quality publications with at least 3 papers in Q1 Journals. Experience in industry or R&D lab of repute (Desirable).
• Level 12: 3 years of post-PhD professional experience. Good quality publications with at least 4 papers in Q1 Journals, out of which at least 2 from post-PhD work. Experience in industry or R&D lab of repute (Desirable).
• Note for CSE/ECE: Publications in A* conference proceedings will be considered equal to Q1 journal publications.
• Note: Candidates having PhD degree directly after BTech are also eligible if they have 7.5 CGPA (or 70% marks) at UG Level.

The selection process will consist of:

1. Teaching Demonstration (Chalk and talk on core course).
2. Research Presentation (PPT).
3. Interview.
