Educational Qualification: M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech
Applications are invited from the interested candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the project titled “Evolutionary optimization of cellular resources and a codon optimization method inspired by natural selection” sanctioned by Department of Biotechnology, India.
1. Position: Junior Research Fellow
2. Number of Positions: 01
3. Area of Specialization: Biophysics/computational Biology
4. Duration: 3 years
5. Essential Qualification:
a. M.Sc (Physics) or M. Tech (Computational Biology/Bioinformatics) or equivalent with first division at all levels starting from secondary education for essential qualifications.
b. Essential qualification from a recognized technical institute/university as a full-time program.
c. Preference may be given to the candidate having appropriate knowledge of data visualization and analysis software and report writing.
6., Desired Qualification: A good knowledge of any programming language
7. Consolidated Salary per Month: Rs. 31000/ for the first two years and Rs. 35000 in the third year (Per month plus HRA as per GoI norms)
8. Job Description: The selected candidate is expected to use Matlab or similar programming language for protein synthesis simulation. Writing reports/papers and active participation in the group meeting or journal club are also expected.

Selection Procedure
1. The interview will be conducted for all shortlisted candidates.
2. The time of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates by e-mail. The interview will be held by using the online platform.
3. The date of interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates through email.

3. Candidates who are already employed should produce a relieving certificate from their employers if selected.
4. "The selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program if he/she satisfies all the criteria for PhD admission
5. However, the candidate can only be selected through the regular admission process for the PhD program at IIT Jammu."
