Applications are invited from the interested candidates for one posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the R&D project titled “Micro RNA diagnostic kit using doped carbon nanofibers” sanctioned by National Technical Textile Mission, Ministry of textile, Government of India. The staff will be appointed initially for one year (on contract). Advt. No.: IITJMU/R&C/RP0070/A-03 1. Position: JRF 2. No. of Positions: 01 3. Essential Qualification: M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Nanotechnology, and Physics or equivalent with at least 70% marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute/university as a full-time program. Preference may be given to the candidate having appropriate knowledge of experimentation and scientific writing. Candidates about to complete their essential degree are also eligible to apply. 4. Desired Qualification: Experimental knowledge of electrospun fibers synthesis, and characterization. Knowledge of DFT or Machine learning 5. Consolidated Salary per Month: 31,000/ + HRA as per GoI norms 6. Duration: Initially for a period of 1 year, which may be extended based on the satisfactory performance.

Selection Procedure
The interview will be conducted for all shortlisted candidates. "The selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program if he/she satisfies all the criteria for PhD admission. However, the candidate can only be selected through the regular admission process for the PhD program at IIT Jammu."
