Eligibility Criteria
General Eligibility for all Project Technician Posts:
- Essential Qualification: Matriculation + National Trade Certificate (NTC)/ National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by National Council Vocational Training (NCVT).
- For Ex-Servicemen: Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class-III equivalent to NAC OR Technicians with upgrading qualifications of Class-II & Class-I equivalent to NTC (with due endorsement of the equivalence of Civil Qualification on their certificate).
- Note: Degree/ Diploma holders in Engineering without possessing NAC/ NTC shall not be accepted.
Eligibility for Project Technician (Fitter Instruments)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Instrument Mechanic, Advance Mechanic (Instruments) trade.
- Experience: NIL
Eligibility for Project Technician (Fitter Electronics)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic Mechatronics, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Mechanic (Embedded Systems and PLC), Mechanic Power Electronics (Inverter, UPS and Maintenance of Drives) trades.
- Experience: NIL
Eligibility for Project Technician (Machinist)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Machinist trade.
- Experience: NIL
Eligibility for Project Technician (Optical Worker)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Optical Worker trade.
- Experience: NIL
Eligibility for Project Technician (Electroplater)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Electroplater trade.
- Experience: NIL
Eligibility for Project Technician (Painter)
- Essential: NAC/NTC in Painter (General) trade.

Age Limit: 18 years to 32 years as on the closing date of advertisement. Age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), Ex-Serviceman, and PwBD candidates is applicable as per Government orders.
Salary/Stipend
The selected candidates for all Project Technician posts will receive a monthly remuneration of [Basic Pay Rs. 20,000/- + Industrial DA + HRA] only. An annual increase of 3% (rounded off to the next 10 rupees) shall be admissible on the Basic Pay, subject to satisfactory performance.

Selection Process
The selection process for Project Technicians at India Optel Limited involves the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for a Trade Test (Practical) based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final examination of NTC/NAC. (If both are possessed, NTC marks will be considered). Candidates will be called for the Trade Test at 1.25 times the number of positions.
- Trade Test (Practical): This test will be of a qualifying nature only. Candidates who fail in the Trade Test will be disqualified.
- Merit List: The final merit will be decided solely based on the percentage of marks obtained in the final examination of NTC/NAC.

- Download the prescribed application format (Annexure-A) from the DOO (C&S) website (ddpdoo.gov.in) under the 'Join Us' Tab.
- Fill out the application form in BLOCK LETTERS only.
- Attach self-attested copies of all requisite documents pertaining to qualifications, age proof, experience (if any), caste & category certificates, discharge certificate (for Ex-Servicemen), and disability certificate (for PwBD candidates).
- The envelope containing the application and enclosures must be clearly superscripted as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF …………………………….. ON FIXED TERM CONTRACT BASIS”.
