Applications are invited from eligible personnel working in the Central/State Government, Central/State Autonomous / Statutory bodies, Central/State universities for the following posts to be filled on deputation (including short-term contract) basis in the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Director (Research)

• Promotion: Deputy Director with five years regular service in the organization.
• Deputation/Short-term-Contract: Officers under the Central/ State/UT Govt. or Universities; preferably from research organizations:
  – Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department;
  – OR With five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the pay level -11 (Rs. 67700-208700) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any Social Science. Five years of teaching or guiding research and/or five years' experience of research administration in a reputed organization.
• Desirable: PhD or equivalent research in Economics/ Rural Development/ Research Methodology/ Decolonization.

Eligibility for Deputy Director (Research)

• Promotion: Assistant Director (Research) with five years regular service in the organization.
• Deputation/Short-term-Contract: Officers from the Central or State or Union Territories Govt. or Universities or Autonomous Bodies; preferably from research organizations:
  – Holding analogous posts on regular basis;
  – OR Holding post in the pay level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) with five years regular service.
• Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any Social Science. Five years of teaching or guiding research and/or five years' experience of research administration in a reputed organization.
• Desirable: PhD or equivalent research in Economics/ Sociology/ Research Methodology.

Eligibility for Systems Analyst-and-Sr. Programmer

• Deputation/Short-term-Contract: Persons holding analogous post in the Central Govt. Research institutes or Universities or persons holding a post of programmer or equivalent thereof in the pay level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) with five years regular service in that grade.
• Essential Qualification:
  – Masters' degree with at least 50% marks in any of the Social Sciences with Statistics as an optional subject/ Statistics Mathematics (with Statics)/ operation research/ Computer Sciences/Computer application from a recognised university or equivalent thereof.
  – About 5 years' experience in Statistical Analysis/Research data processing work including at least 3 years' experience in actual programming system Analysis on electric computer.
• Desirable:
  – On job experience in programming/system analysis on micro/personal computer in recognised institution/universities.
  – Experience in developing generalised application programmes.
  – Implementation and use of system software and general application packages, such as Data Base, SPSS, etc.
  – Experience in imparting training in the use of computer in data processing.

Eligibility for Accounts Assistant

• Promotion: UDC with at least five years' service in the grade.
• Deputation: Officials from Central Govt. or Autonomous Bodies or Universities who are:
  – Holding analogous posts on regular basis;
  – OR UDC with at least five years' service in the grade.

Eligibility for Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

• Promotion/Deputation: LDC with at least five years' service/experience in that grade.
