Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a post of Project Associate-I (one) to work in the research project entitled as "Assessing EPS-Thorium complexation by thoriotolerant bacteria" funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), A statutory body of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, to work in Department of Biotechnology & Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Advanced Research (IIAR/IAR), Gandhinagar.

1. Name of the Post: Project Associate I

2. Number of Positions: One (1)

3. Title and sponsoring agency of the Project: "Assessing EPS-Thorium complexation by thoriotolerant bacteria" funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).

4. Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology or allied areas of life sciences with minimum 55% mark or equivalent CGPA.

5. Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having prior experience in basic microbiology techniques, biochemical concepts, metabolome, and transcriptome analysis will be preferred for the position. Candidate may be required to travel for sample collection, analysis and participating in seminars/conferences/workshops within the country.

6. Duration: 24 Months (2 Years) or end of the project whichever is earlier. The posts purely temporary and co-terminates with Project.

7. Monthly Emoluments: Rs.25,000 + Rs.2000 (HRA) per month As per SERB OM No.SB/ S9/ Z-07/ 2020dt25 August 2020)
