Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

A total of 16 temporary project personnel vacancies are available under different research projects at CSIR-IICB, Jadavpur Campus, Kolkata. The engagement is co-terminus with the respective project tenure.

Post-wise Salary Summary:

• Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000/- or Rs. 31,000/- + HRA per month (Rs. 31,000 for NET/GATE/DBT/DST qualified; Rs. 25,000 for others)
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000/- + 30% HRA per month
• Project Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000/- + 30% HRA per month (increment of 5% for every 2 years of experience in the same project)

• M.Sc. in any branch of Life Science (Vacancy Code 5912602)

• M.Sc in Human Physiology/Zoology/Botany/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Life Science/Biotechnology, or B.Tech (Biotechnology), MBBS, B.Pharm (Vacancy Code 5912605)

Additional Instructions: Candidates who are in the final semester or whose results are awaited are not eligible. Age and qualifications will be reckoned as on the date of interview.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection will be based on a walk-in interview conducted on 14 October 2026 at the CSIR-IICB Jadavpur Campus, Kolkata.

1. Candidates must report at the venue by 08:45 AM; the entry gate will close at 10:00 AM.
2. The candidate should carry the duly filled prescribed application form along with original and self-attested copies of all required documents.
3. The interview will assess the candidate's academic qualifications, research experience (where applicable), and suitability for the specific project.
4. Engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration. Under no circumstances shall the tenure exceed six years across all CSIR labs.
5. This engagement does not confer any right for regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post.
6. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the walk-in interview.
7. Candidates applying for multiple vacancies must submit a single application form, listing all relevant vacancy codes in the designated place.
