Applications are invited for the position of Junior /Senior Research Fellow for the Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce (Trade & Development) Cooperative Federation Limited funded project titled ‘Rapid assessment of Production potential of MFPs in Madhya Pradesh.’ 1. Position available: Junior/ Senior Research Fellow 2. No of Pos02 3. Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate degree in Forestry/Agroforestry/ Farm Forestry/Plant Ecology/ Botany/ Conservation studies/Medicinal Plants/ Environmental Sciences/or/ Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management. Research experience of minimum two years for the position of Senior Research Fellow. 4. Desirable Qualifications: Previous field based research experience for data collection and compilation. Working experience in MS Office and other online mode. 5. Key Responsibilities: Extensive travel to field sites for data collection and interaction with stakeholders. Data compilation, analysis, and interpretation. Project related presentations, documentation and report writing. (Must be willing to travel extensively and stay in field for long durations) 6. Emoluments: Rs. 31000 per month + 18% HRA for the position of Junior Research Fellow, Rs. 35000 per month + 18% HRA for the position of Senior Research Fellow 7. Period of Engagement: Appointment will be initially for a period of three months and extendable subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the candidate or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier but not exceeding six months. Please note that this is a project-related contractual position and has nothing to do with the permanent establishment of IIFM, Bhopal. Based on these positions, any claim for regular appointment in IIFM will not be entertained.

The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established in 1982. It is an autonomous, public institute of sectoral management located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It was established by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and course assistance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
