IIM Udaipur Invites Application for Research Assistant Recruitment 2022

The Finance and Accounting area at IIMU is looking for an RA to assist with research in the intersection of accounting and marketing/ management.

1. Post Name: Research Assistant – FINAC Area

2. Responsibilities

a. This is a research position in an academic setting. You will assist with:

b. Data collection, data preparation, and data analysis - working on primary/secondary data using qualitative/ quantitative methods.

c. Conducting in-depth interviews and FGDs

d. Literature search, summary, presentation, and writing

e. Writing research proposal and conducting research

f. Other research-related work

3. Skills And Qualifications:

Highly motivated candidates with a bachelor’s / master’s degree from any of the top-tier colleges in the country/ abroad with an understanding of research and interest in pursuing a Ph.D. in Accounting/ Marketing/ Management.

4. Candidates must have:

a. An open mind to learning new concepts, creativity, and hard work

b. Good English writing skills

c. Primary data collection skills – qualitative and surveys. Exposure to tools like NVivo, QDA Miner, Qualtrics, etc will be an plus

d. Data handling and analysis skills (e.g. SQL querying, R, STATA)

5. Contract Duration:

The position is contractual for 11 months and will be renewed for a further period of 11 months, subject to satisfactory work, enabling the candidate to build up their profile for Ph.D. applications. Candidates are expected to move on into a Ph.D. at the end of two terms.
