Eligibility Criteria for IIT Delhi Institute Engineer 2026

Educational Qualification

Essential:

• Master’s degree in an appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized university with at least 55% marks OR
• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology with at least 55% marks.

Experience

• For Master’s: At least 15 years relevant experience with 03 years as Superintending Engineer (Grade Pay Rs. 8700) or equivalent.
• For Bachelor’s: At least 18 years relevant experience with 03 years as Superintending Engineer (Grade Pay Rs. 8700) or equivalent.

Desirable

• Experience in coordination & supervision of Civil/Electrical/HVAC works in PWD.
• Knowledge of Estate matters & Public Premises Act.
• Experience in CAD and construction management software.

Age Limit

Maximum 57 years as on the last date of application.

Salary & Benefits

The selected candidate will be placed in Pay Matrix Level 14 as per 7th CPC (approx. Rs. 1,44,200 - Rs. 2,18,200 per month) plus usual allowances as per IIT Delhi rules. This is a deputation post with initial tenure of 02 years, extendable up to 05 years or superannuation.

4. Submit the form and take a printout of the final application.
5. Send the printout along with Annexure-1 (Employer’s Certification) through proper channel to:
   
   Recruitment Cell, Room No. 207/C-7, Adjoining to Dy. Director (Ops)’s Office, IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi – 110016 within 30 days from the last date of online submission.

Important: Application once submitted cannot be modified. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel.

Selection will be based on the scrutiny of applications and interview (if required). Since it is a deputation post, the selection committee will assess the suitability of candidates based on qualifications, experience, and performance in the interview.
