Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University (IIT BHU) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow. The position is purely temporary and is coterminous with the project titled “Development of Carbon Ceramic Resistors (CCR) with 6 ± 0.6 Ohm Resistance Comparable to Benchmark Products,” sponsored by CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, S6 Vacuum Interrupter, Aurangabad.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering & Tech. (Ceramics, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Materials Science, Silicate Technology, Nano Technology, or other relevant branches) with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6 CGPA).
• Essential Requirement: Having a valid GATE Score.
• Desirable:
  • Hands-on experience in materials synthesis.
  • Strong knowledge of materials characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, etc.).
  • Prior experience in high-voltage engineering (considered an added advantage).

Age Limit & Salary

• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as of the last date of the application. Age relaxation applicable as per GOI norms.
• Salary: Rs. 37,000/- per month (Consolidated).
• Duration: One Year (Temporary).

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on the discretion of the Principal Investigator (PI) based on qualifications and experience.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Candidates must be ready to join immediately if selected.
