Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of project associate-1 in a MeitY funded research project with the following details:
1. Title of the Project: AI-on-Edge: AI-based edge analytics framework for real time disaster management
2. Principal Investigator: Dr. Soumajit Pramanik, Designation:Assistant Professor, Department: EECS, IIT Bhilai, GEC Campus, Sejbahar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh- 492015 ([email protected])..
3. Name of the position: Project Associate-I
4. Number of Positions: 1
5. Essential qualifications: As per Sponsoring agency: Master’s Degree or bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/Electronics & Communications or related areas from a recognized University or equivalent.
6. Desirable qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with working experience relevant to the project. Candidates with expertise in the followings are strongly encouraged to apply: Expertise in Python/C++ and associated ML libraries and tools. Experience in electronics and communication, specifically in drone communication Hands-on experience in working with drones (assembly of customized drones and end-to-end deployment of drones) or other embedded systems with cameras and other sensors. Expertise in Computer Vision tools and applications.
7. Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month+16% HRA
8. Duration: 11 months (extendable as per performance)

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai was established in the state of Chhattisgarh by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development in the year 2016.
IIT Bhilai is presently housed in its transit campus at Government Engineering College (GEC) Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
IIT Bhilai offers Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctoral programs (Ph.D.) in various departments. The Institute made its modest start with the introduction of the BTech program in August 2016. The Institute is currently offering BTech and MTech programs in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI), Mechatronics and Electric Vehicle Technology (EVT, MTech); and Ph.D. program in the departments of Chemistry (CHM), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Mathematics (MTH), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Physics (PHY) and Liberal Arts (LA).
IIT Bhilai has established a 3-D Printing Lab that constitutes an integral part of the 3-D Modeling and Design course, a fabrication lab, an electrical lab, a computer lab, and a library in a short duration.
