IIT Dharwad Invites Application for Project Associate-I Recruitment 2022

IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance created by an Act of Parliament in 2016. IIT Dharwad has been steadily establishing its operations in its present campus while at the same time, master plan development and construction of permanent campus infrastructure are also in progress. To cater the Institute’s temporary requirement under a project in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences; IIT Dharwad intends to hold an Online Selection Process for the following temporary position:

1. Post Name : Project Associate I (On Contract)

2. Number of Positions : 01

3. Essential Qualification : Post Graduate degree in Basic Science/Arts/Humanities & Social Sciences or Graduate/Post Graduate degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Test – UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE. b. The Selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. (On the date of the interview, the candidate should produce at least provisional certificate of the above mentioned degree)

4. Desirable Qualification : Post Graduate Degree or Masters in Philosophy. Knowledge and familiarity with the concepts in Ethics. Interest in working in the areas of Applied Ethics. Interest in conducting interdisciplinary research in the areas of ethics and technology. Exposure to engineering disciplines.

5. Consolidated Emoluments : (i) 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments and their agencies and Institutions. (ii) 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above (Accommodation can be given based on the availability in the hostel. If the hostel accommodation is given, then HRA will not be applicable.)

6. Duration of the tenure : Maximum 1 Year 6 Months

7. Tenure of appointment : The appointment for the above contractual position will be initially for a period of 01 years, which may be extended or curtailed, based on the performance of the candidate, availability of funds in the project, requirement in the project. The appointment will be co-terminus with the project.

Applications will be screened initially, based on the screening, only the shortlisted applicants will be called for an online test followed by interview via online/telephone mode.

2. Mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility will not bestow the right for shortlisting. IIT Dharwad reserves the right to screen and shortlist candidates by introducing higher benchmarks.

3. Emails will be sent to all shortlisted candidates.
