The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IIT Gandhinagar) has released the recruitment notification for the position of Research Associate I. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with M.Phil/Ph.D to work in theoretical gravitational physics under an ANRF grant. Vacancy Details

Eligibility for Research Associate I

• Essential Qualification: A PhD in physics with a specialization in gravitational physics. Candidates who have submitted their dissertations are also eligible to apply.
• Experience: Experience in studying geodesics, analyzing black hole shadows, and related topics is highly preferred. A solid background in the computational and numerical methods used in general relativity and black hole physics is desired.
• Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of Mathematica/Python (or any suitable programming language) for mathematical calculations. Good communication and writing skills. Independent-minded and capable of driving research into uncharted territory.

Salary / Stipend

Remuneration: 58,000 INR monthly (+ HRA). Duration: Two-year appointment.
