Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Graphic Designer and Video Editor

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graphic Design, Design / Media Design, Multimedia / Multimedia Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Media & Communication, Video Production, or other closely related disciplines.
• Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of post-qualification professional experience in graphic designing, video editing, and multimedia content creation.
• Software Proficiency: Must demonstrate proficiency in professional graphic design and video editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, or equivalent professional software.
• Portfolio Requirement: A strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, video editing, and multimedia work is essential. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to create high-quality digital and print designs, institutional publications, social media creatives, videos, reels, motion graphics, and multimedia content.

Applicant must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 30 years. The cut-off date for reckoning the upper age limit, qualification, and post-qualification experience is the last date of submission of online application, i.e., 30-10-2026.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process for the post of Graphic Designer and Video Editor at IIT Hyderabad will consist of:

1. Written Test
2. Skill Test
3. Interview

The selection stages will be conducted at IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Sangareddy, Telangana. The final selection will be based on the combined performance across these stages.

Screening Clause: The written test and/or skill test may be used as a screening mechanism for shortlisting candidates prior to the interview stage. The exact sequence and weightage will be determined by the selection committee.

Important: Selected candidates must produce self-attested copies of all certificates along with originals for verification at the time of the written test, skill test, or interview.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the selection stages.

Remuneration & Terms of Engagement

Salary Structure

Terms of Contract

• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual for an initial period of 11 months.
• The appointment can be terminated at any time during the contract period with one month's notice from either side.
• Working hours are 8 hours per day, 6 days per week, with a requirement to work during weekends or holidays when informed by the competent authority.
• Contractual employees are not eligible for campus residential accommodation by default; however, it may be considered on a case-to-case basis depending on essentiality, availability, and payment of license fee.
• Selected candidates working in any organisation must submit a release or relieving letter in original from their present employer at the time of joining.
• The selected candidate must possess a valid health insurance policy for the engagement period obtained at their own expense and submit a copy at the time of joining.
• Medical facilities to contract employees are limited to outpatient treatment (OPD) during medical emergencies, with minimal charges of Rs. 100 for normal OPD and Rs. 200 for specialist consultation.
