IIT Indore Faculty Recruitment 2025

Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) has released an advertisement for faculty recruitment. IIT Indore is an Institute of National Importance and is ranked in the top 12 engineering institutes in the country by NIRF 2025. Candidates having Ph.D. with first class in the appropriate branch and fulfilling other eligibility criteria are invited to apply for various faculty positions on a direct recruitment basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Assistant Professor Grade II (excluding School of Innovation)

• Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
• Experience: Not required (Contract basis).
• Age Limit: Maximum 32 years.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor Grade I (excluding School of Innovation)

• Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
• Experience: Minimum three years of industrial/research/teaching experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor Grade II (School of Innovation)

• Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
• Desirable: An undergraduate and/or a postgraduate degree in Design/Architecture from a reputed Design University/Institute in India or abroad.
• Experience: Not required (Contract basis).
• Age Limit: Maximum 32 years.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor Grade I (School of Innovation)

• Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
• Desirable: An undergraduate and/or a postgraduate degree in Design/Architecture from a reputed Design University/Institute in India or abroad.
• Experience: Minimum three years of industrial/research/teaching experience, excluding the experience gained while pursuing Ph.D.
• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.

Eligibility for Associate Professor (School of Innovation)

• Essential: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
• Desirable: An undergraduate and/or a postgraduate degree in Design/Architecture from a reputed Design University/Institute in India or abroad.
• Experience: Minimum six years teaching/industry/research experience of which at least three years’ experience should be at the level of Assistant Professor Grade I, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the qualifications, experience, research, publication records, and requirements of the individual academic school. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call for an interview. The Institute reserves the right to set higher norms for shortlisting.
