| Essential Qualification | Master's degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven-point scale and consistently good academic record as per UGC regulations. |
| Essential Experience (Any One) | (i) Minimum 18 years of post-qualification experience as College Librarian / Assistant Librarian in reputed Libraries. (ii) At least 13 years of experience as a Deputy Librarian or equivalent in Pay Matrix Level 12 in a reputed Institution or University. |
| Additional Requirements | Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work. |
| Desirable Qualification | M.Phil / Ph.D. degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript keeping, Computerization of Library. |
| Age Limit | Preferably below 57 years as on the closing date of application. |
