Educational Qualification: IITM Research Associate: Doctorate degree from a recognized University in Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanic Sciences/ Physics/ Applied Physics/ Geophysics / Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Chemistry/ Mechanical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Geology/ Earth Sciences/Environmental Sciences/ Computer Science/Electronics/ Computer Applications or related subjects and having at least one first-author research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) journal in the relevant field. Candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics in the bachelor’s degree.
IITM Research Fellow: Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in Physical Sciences [includes Physics/ Applied Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Oceanography / Climate Science/ Geophysics with Meteorology/ Environmental Sciences/ Electronics or related subjects] / Chemical Sciences [includes Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry or related subjects]/ Mathematical Sciences [includes Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ statistics or related subjects]. OR M. Tech. in Atmospheric/ Oceanic Sciences or related subjects. OR Master’s degree from any branch of Engineering.
Pay Scale:
INR
37000-58000/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years.
Selection Procedure: The qualifications prescribed in the advertisement are the minimum requirements and possession of the same doesn’t guarantee that the candidate would be called for a written test or interview. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts based on the given eligibility criteria and may introduce additional criteria as deemed necessary for short-listing the candidates for written test or interview.
