Research Assistant and Various Posts

Number of Vacancy: Various Posts

Educational Qualification:
Research Assistant: Those who have a good academic record with at least Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Statistics/Social Sciences but with no demonstrated computer skills of the computer packages used in the social science research.

Research Associate: Persons with M.Phil.

Research Trainee/Intern: Minimum qualification shall be graduate. Trainees will be hired for a maximum period of only three months.

Junior Research Assistant: Minimum qualification shall be graduate. JRA’s shall be hired for a period of six months initially extendable up to a maximum period of 11 months total. No extension shall be granted after the completion of 11 months.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) is an advanced research institute established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India for carrying out research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view.

IGIDR was registered as an autonomous society on November 14, 1986 and as a public trust in January 1987. On December 28, 1987 the campus was inaugurated by Late. Shri Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India.

Subsequently, the Institute was recognized as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act.
