The institute has currently got the grant from the ministry of tourism by Indian Government.The Mission of Institute of Hotel Management Gwalior is to give the industry necessary management from the latest request of the industry. The Institute of Hotel Management got its affiliation from one of the 22 central institute that are sponsored by Ministry of Tourism Government of India.
The Institute was started first as “Food Craft Institute ” in the year 1987 and also got upgraded to Institute of Hotel Management in the year 1992. More than 1000 students have graduated with diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality and Hotel administrator. The Institute is situated on the airport road on the 14 Acre of land.The institute includes a hostel that accommodates 180 boys and 120 girls in the respective hostels. Around 11 important people from the faculty and administration staff lives in the campus.The campus has different sport facilities for basketball badminton,football and volleyball.
