Educational Qualification: Post Graduate in Hospitality / Tourism or MBA from a recognized University / Institute. And (+) Full Time Degree /Full time three years Diploma in Hotel Administration / Hospitality Management / Hotel Management / Hospitality Administration /Culinary Arts / Culinary Science with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from: (i) NCHMCT OR NCHMCT affiliated Institute. OR (ii) An Institute approved by AICTE. OR (iii) An Institute approved by the State Board of Technical Education. OR (iv) An Institute affiliated to University duly recognized by UGC. OR (v) Central/State/Deemed to be University recognized by UGC. OR (vi) Equivalent Degree / Diploma of foreign university / Institution recognized by AIU.
Experience: At least 5 (five) years teaching experience in the grade of Assistant Lecturer or equivalent (at UG level program) from an Institute affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology / AICTE / State Board of Technical Education / Recognized University. OR Experience of those Teaching Associate who has been recruited after following due process as laid down by MoT/NCHMCT and are serving in Central IHMs or State IHM may be considered as equivalent to Asst. Lecturer to become eligible for Direct Recruitment to the post of Lecturer. OR At least 7 years total experience (Teaching and Industry together) including 3 years experience in Teaching/Training of a 3 star / Heritage or above category approved hotel.
Pay Scale:
INR
44900/- Per Month
Age Limit: Not exceeding 40 years.

This Institute was started in 1972 as a registered Society under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Public Societies Act, 1350 Fasli (Act I of 1350F) in the name and style “Food Craft Institute (Hyderabad) Society”, Hyderabad. The government of India, Department of Tourism, New Delhi have upgraded this Institute in 1984 by introducing a 3 Year Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Consequent on up gradation, the name of the Institute has been changed from “Food Craft Institute” to “Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition”.
This Institute is functioning under the academic control of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida, an Apex Body set up by the Department of Tourism, Government of India. Prior to the up gradation, only Craft Certificate Courses of Six months / One Year duration were conducted in the trades – Cookery, Bakery and Confectionery, Canning and Food Preservation, Restaurant and Counter Service, Hotel Reception and Book-keeping and House-Keeping including a Postgraduate Diploma Course in Tourism and Travel.
