Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Professor (Neurosurgery)

  • Essential Qualification:
    1. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the II Schedule to the IMC Act of 1956.
    2. A Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or recognized equivalent.
    3. MCh (for surgical) or DM (for Medical Superspecialities) or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience: 14 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject/specialty after obtaining the qualification degree of MS/MD or 12 years after obtaining MCh/DM. Out of which at least 3 years experience at Additional Professor level or 6 years at Associate Professor Level.
  • Desirable: Research/Published work in indexed Journals.
  • Age Limit: 50 years.

Eligibility for Additional Professor (Neurosurgery)

  • Essential Qualification:
    1. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the II Schedule to the IMC Act of 1956.
    2. A Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or recognized equivalent.
    3. MCh (for surgical) or DM (for Medical Superspecialities) or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience: 10 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualification degree of MS/MD or 08 years after obtaining MCh/DM. Out of which at least 4 years teaching experience at Associate Professor level.
  • Desirable: Research/Published work in indexed Journals.
  • Age Limit: 50 years.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor (Neurosurgery)

  • Essential Qualification:
    1. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the II Schedule to the IMC Act of 1956.
    2. A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or recognized equivalent.
    3. MCh (for surgical) or DM (for medical superspecialities) or recognized equivalent.
  • Experience:
    A. General Disciplines: 03 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS.
    B. Superspecialities Disciplines: 01 year after obtaining MCh/DM.
  • Desirable: Research/published work in Indexed Journal.
  • Age Limit: 45 years.

Application processing fee is Rs. 2360/- including 18% GST (Demand Draft/Pay order in favour of "Director, IHBAS"). Exempted for SC/ST and PwD candidates. The fee is non-refundable.
