Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

Junior Administrative Officer (JAO)

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university.
  • Essential Experience: 10 years of work experience in Central Government, State Government, PSU, or Autonomous Bodies in the field of administration, with knowledge of Government orders and Rules on service matters.
  • Sub-Level Experience Requirement: Out of the total 10 years, at least 03 years should be at Level 7 or above in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix / pre-revised Grade Pay of Rs. 4,600/- and above.
  • Desirable Experience: Administration in Central/State Government, PSU, Autonomous Body, or academic/research institution covering areas such as establishment and service matters; recruitment, promotion and reservation; stores and purchase including e-procurement/GeM; stores and inventory management; asset register maintenance; General Financial Rules (GFR); accounts and administrative finance; audit matters; RTI; vigilance and disciplinary matters; e-office/e-governance; and implementation of Government/DAE rules. Administration of a scientific, academic or research institution will be highly desirable.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process for the Junior Administrative Officer (JAO) post at IoP Bhubaneswar involves the following stages:
