A walk-in-interview will be held at Institute of Wood Science and Technology, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bangalore – 560 003 for the positions of Research Associate/ Junior Research Fellow/Senior Project Fellow/ Junior Project Fellow, Project Assistant. in the following research projects purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project period.

3. Details of the Project: Development and standardization of non destructive method for detection of anomalies using ultrasonic techniques in red wood P.I.: Dr. S.R. Shukla, Scientist G, WPU Division (WIPRO Consultancy Project)
4. Essential: Post Graduate degree (in Wood Science and Technology/ Physics/ Chemistry) Or M Tech/ ME (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Computer Science)
5. Desirable: JPF or SPF will be offered based on the duration of work experience in the relevant field after post-graduation
6. Duration of the project: January 2022 – October 2022
7. Emoluments: Rs. 23,000/- per month +HRA as admissible for SPF And Rs. 20000/- per month +HRA as admissible for JPF

Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) Bangalore was established in the year 1938, work under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), The Ministry of Environment of Forest, Government of India.The aim of the institute is to develop strategies for sustainable use and production of wood and other forest products.
The vision and mission of the institute are to generate, preserve disseminate and advance knowledge, technologies and solutions for regarding issues arising out of the interaction between people forest and environment on a sustained basis through research education and extension.
The main objective of the institute is to conduct research on Wood Science and Technology as a national objective, which emphasis on research related to forestry, forest product and non-wood forest products, improved utilisation of wood management and control ecology, research on the sandal, etc.
The institute offers Ph.D. and various Research Programmes in the discipline of Silviculture, Forest Seed Technology, Forest Genetics, Forest Botany, Forest Pathology, Forest Entomology, Soil Science, Forest Environment & Ecology, Forest Management, Chemistry of Forest Products, Pulp & Paper Technology, Environmental Management, Forest Bio Informatics, etc.
