Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for Classical Dancer (Kathak) - Female

• Essential Qualification: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (relaxable for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen). Alternatively, Pass in Matriculation or equivalent plus ITI/Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.
• Cultural Qualification: Possession of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Kathak from a Govt. recognized Institute.
• Desirable: Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan; Prizes won at National level.

Eligibility for Instrumental (Flute)

• Essential Qualification: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (relaxable for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen). Alternatively, Pass in Matriculation or equivalent plus ITI/Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.
• Cultural Qualification: Possession of Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Flute from a Govt. recognized Institute.
• Desirable: Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan; Prizes won at National level.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years (As on 01-07-2026)
• Relaxations: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, Up to 3 years for Ex-Servicemen (depending on service), 10 years for PwBD (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST), and specific relaxations for widows/divorced women and serving Railway staff as per rules.

Application Fee

• Rs. 500/- for all candidates (refundable to SC/ST/Ex-S/PwBD/Women/Minorities/EBC upon appearing for the test).
• Fee must be paid online via Internet Banking/Debit/Credit Cards.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the following stages:

• Written Test: 50 Marks (Qualifying nature).
• Practical Demonstration/Talent Assessment: 35 Marks.
• Testimonials/Prizes: 15 Marks.
