The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Bihar is a flagship program initiated to address the health, nutrition, and education needs of young children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers across the state. Launched under the umbrella of the Government of India and implemented by the Government of Bihar, ICDS aims to provide a comprehensive package of services, including supplementary nutrition, immunization, health check-ups, referral services, pre-school non-formal education, and health and nutrition education. The scheme is operated mainly through Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) located in villages and urban slums, with Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Helpers playing a crucial role in service delivery.
