The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Bengaluru is looking for a dynamic individual to head its Science Communication and Outreach Division.

1. Position: Head

2. Role:

• The role of the Head is to oversee the Center’s activities in public outreach (public lectures and other events), science communication (through print, electronic, film and social media) and science education (school visits, Math Circle, etc). The Head will also be responsible for strategizing and expanding the activities of the Division in consultation with ICTS faculty.
• Applicants should have a Masters/PhD degree in physical, mathematical or engineering sciences. We are looking for an individual of age below 50 yrs who is passionate about science communication and public outreach, and has at least 5 years of experience in these domains.
• The Head will be leading and mentoring an interdisciplinary team of designers, science writers, educators, administrators, interns and volunteers, and should have excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in regional languages (especially Kannada) is desirable.
• The Head will be working from the Center’s state-of-the-art campus in North Bengaluru. The remuneration will be commensurate with the qualification and experience of the candidate.

3. Qualification: Masters/PhD degree in physical, mathematical or engineering sciences.

4. Experience: Minimum 5 yrs in science communication and public outreach.

5. Pay: Will commensurate with the qualification and experience.
