ICRISAT, Hyderabad, - Telangana

ICRISAT seeks applications for the post of Consultant - Legumes Breeder to strengthen the capacity of its legume breeding research to develop multiple disease resistant and stress tolerant legume lines. This position will be based at WorldVeg - South and Central Asia Regional Office in ICRISAT-Patancheru, Hyderabad and is open for Indian nationals only.

3. Qualifications and Experience: 

a) M.Sc, Ph.D. in plant breeding, molecular genetics or a related field with at least one or two years of relevant experience

b) Sound knowledge of scientific writing, genetics, statistics and experimental design

c) Experience in Legume biology is desirable

d) Willingness to work both in the field and the laboratory is essential

e) Excellent communication with fluency in written and spoken English and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

5. Additional/Preferred Skills: Supervision

6. Preferred Qualifications : M.Sc, Ph.D.,Molecular Genetics,plant breeding, & related fields
